Mission Statement:
The Rocky Mountain Belles is an equestrian drill team whose mission is to promote quality horsemanship, equestrian entertainment, and sisterhood by performing at rodeos, horse shows, and other events. We also strive to positively represent Colorado State University and its exceptional equine science program.
Practices:
Thursdays at 8:00pm in the Adams Arena at the CSU Equine Center
Membership
- Open to both riding and non-riding
- Riding members must pass the riding test and their horses should not kick/ must be comfortable being close to other horses in a drill setting
- As always, when bringing a horse to the equine center, the horse needs all of their vaccinations and a current coggins test. Information about the vaccination schedule is on the CSU Equine Sciences website
- Riding members will have a "spot" in the drill, so attendance every week is important!
- Riding members are expected to attend practices and perform with the team, executing maneuvers on your horse and working with the team to make it smooth (and safe)
- Non-riding members will help out during practices to fine tune the drill as eyes on the ground and will help to organize performances (outfits, schedules, music, etc.)
- Dues: $75 for riding, $25 for non-riding
- Helmets are welcomed

- I don't have a horse; can I still be on the team? Do you have Lease Horses?
Yes, you can still be on the team as a
non-riding member. If you are interested in leasing a horse for the drill team,
come talk to us and we may be able to help. Currently we do not have "team
horses" to lease out, but we may be able to help you find a horse to lease in
the Fort Collins area.
- Can I join later on in the semester?
Yes, you can tryout at any time!
- I have a horse, but I don't have a trailer. How can I get to practices and performances?
If trailering is a problem, email us at therockymountainbelles@gmail.com and we may be able to work something out.
